Why this venue is the Bomb-Chickadee!

Recently I had the pleasure of being makeup artist to a gorgeous bride at a newer venue, Chickadee Hill Farms

in Statesville NC. Not only is it charming as can be, but they are running an amazing operation there. So let's just start with the most interesting thing about Chickadee Hill Farms.. they operate a miniature horse rescue there!!! I could see them eating their breakfast and dancing about from the window of the upstairs bridal suite while I was doing makeup... talk about the worlds best office view! Anyways, apparently the little bundles of horse joy is what started the whole farm. They are precious to watch and surround the entire venue.

So let's talk about the behind the scenes set up at this rural yet far from rustic venue. The bridal suite is one of, if not, my favorite one so far. There is ample room as you walk in with a full on living room hangout area. It is beautifully decorated and bright. There are viewpoints on all sides so you can see what is going on. And the bathroom is huge with plenty of make up space and a separate watercloset, aka fancy word for the toilet. This is so valuable when you and your bridal party is running around and trying to get ready. Having several zones so everyone is comfortable is really nice. Also lots of light and mirrors. This place has it all!

There are even double sinks and a shower if you need it! The back doors lead out to a balcony overlooking the bar and outdoor dance floor. The makeup light in the picture is onsite as well as the table lighted makeup mirrors. Such nice amenities and little touches.

The Chickadee Hill Farms onsite coordinator, Mandy, is a true pro. She not only communicated and coordinated with me ahead of time, she also greeted me when I arrived. She was super friendly but was also a Wedding Boss Babe! I appreciated her wonderful demeanor and could see how she brings comfort and confidence to the brides she works with.

The area below the enormous bridal suite is an ample sized reception area. It is gorgeous and has plenty of room for seated dining as well as a dance floor.

I can't leave out my beautiful bride and bridal party of the day! Congrats to Brianna DeLuca, you were a total knockout! Not only did you pick a gorgeous natural glamour makeup look, but the perfect venue in my humble opinion.
